The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce the addition of civil and commercial litigator Ira Gonzalez as a Partner in the firm's Miami office. Also joining the firm is associate Daniel C. Fors.

"We’re delighted to welcome Ira to Hinshaw. Our clients will greatly benefit from his deep litigation knowledge," said Barbara Fernandez, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Miami office. "We look forward to supporting him and Daniel as they take their practices to the next level.” According to Fernandez, Hinshaw’s Miami office is continuing to grow as a result of new business as well as through the recruitment of lateral partners such as Gonzalez who have an existing client base and are attracted to the firm’s full-service capabilities and national platform.

Gonzalez has wide-reaching experience and practices in the areas of Real Estate/Construction, Administrative/Local Government, Land Use, Product Liability/Toxic Torts, Transportation, Environmental and Premises Liability. "I look forward to working with Hinshaw’s team of well-rounded attorneys, taking advantage of their national footprint and regional presence throughout Florida, and building on Hinshaw's proud legacy of client service."

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Gonzalez bolstered his litigation experience at law firms in Miami and New Orleans. Before entering into private practice, Ira served in several roles in Miami government, including working as the Chief of Operations for Code Enforcement, and an Assistant Policy Coordinator for the Mayor. During his tenure, he represented city interests at special master and code enforcement hearings. Ira was also a law clerk for the Office of the City Attorney where he analyzed zoning laws, local code applicability, lien foreclosure, and federal and state preemption issues.
