Hinshaw offices that traditionally hire 2L summer associates are Chicago, Rockford, and San Francisco. However, other offices may participate in the program as well. If you are interested in applying, please submit your resume, unofficial law school transcript, and a writing sample to our resume collect on your law school's Symplicity site or to Hinshaw's Recruiting Department, prior to the first semester of your 2L year.
We offer a Hinshaw Diversity Scholarship to a qualified 2L Chicago-area law student. We begin accepting applications for the scholarship during the first semester of the student's second year of law school. Please refer to the listing and application instructions on your school's Symplicity site. You may also email your resume, most recent law school transcript, transcripts from all other colleges or universities attended (undergraduate, master's program, etc.), and a one-page personal statement describing your reasons for studying law, your career goals, the qualities and talents you will bring to the legal profession, and how your professional interests and goals align with the practice focus and culture of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP to our Recruiting Department. We also recommend including two letters of recommendation from academic instructors and/or employers with your application materials.
If you are a resident of the State of California please review our Privacy Notice for California Owners, Directors, Officers, Employees, Contractors and Job Applicants before you submit any personal information, including a resume or job application to our Firm.
