Liam McGing counsels clients on federal and state legal issues, including the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and sanctions imposed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Before joining Hinshaw, Liam practiced as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, having tried more than 20 bench trials.

While a law student, Liam clerked in the Northern District of Illinois for the Honorable Judge Jorge Alonso and the Honorable Judge John Robert Blakey, honing his legal acumen. Liam was also a legal extern at the Department of Justice, where he worked with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), dealing with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
