Evan Soyer represents financial institutions and mortgage servicers in complex contested mortgage foreclosures and litigation involving the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) in state and federal courts. Evan also represents banks in Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Evan practiced law at a boutique law firm that specialized in consumer finance litigation. With his varied litigation experience, Evan is passionate about offering creative problem-solving and fierce representation to his clients.

Evan attended St. John’s University School of Law, where he was involved in a number of activities, including serving as a teaching assistant covering the subjects of civil procedure, criminal law, and applied legal analysis – a bar exam preparation course for foreign law students.

Personal

In his spare time, Evan enjoys exploring New York City, fitness, hiking, travel, and computer games. Evan was raised in the mid-Hudson Valley, where he often visits to spend time with his family.
