Maria Babajanian represents insurers in litigation coverage actions and complex first- and third-party issues, including bad faith and construction litigation disputes.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Maria specialized in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including breaches of contract, breaches of confidentiality, intellectual property disputes, class actions, and business torts. Prior to working in private practice, Maria clerked for the Honorable Robert N. Opel ll in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for two years.

While in law school, Maria served as an articles and symposia editor for the Stetson Law Review and published a case note in the school journal. As a law student, Maria gained extensive legal experience through several internships for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Securities Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Tampa.
