Fernando Silva advises employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and counsels them on complex employment matters.

During law school, Fernando received a student attorney license and represented families and children involved in child neglect and abuse cases. He also clerked at a Chicago plaintiff’s firm where he was responsible for cases involving toxic tort litigation, product liability, and premises liability.

Before pursuing law, Fernando served in the United States Navy on the USS Ashland in Sasebo, Japan, and was subsequently assigned to the USS Stockdale in San Diego, California. As a gas turbine technician, he monitored the ship’s propulsion plant through two deployments patrolling the Korean Peninsula. For his actions in a disaster relief operation, he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal.
