About Michael
A litigation lawyer, Michael handles high-exposure civil rights matters and employment cases in state and federal courts, representing government entities and their employees. His work includes defending state and local municipalities, state’s attorneys, police officers, school districts, and teachers in cases involving Section 1983, reverse convictions, constitutional violations, malicious prosecution, and willful and wanton conduct. Michael also represents and advises contractors in complex legal matters, such as breach of contract, fraud, commercial torts, and business partner disputes.

Experience
- Obtained an appellate court decision affirming summary judgment for a client, forcing the defendant to sell the business property to the client.
- Secured two summary judgment wins for a former assistant state’s attorney in a reverse conviction case, based on absolute prosecutorial immunity.
- Led an evidentiary hearing resulting in sanctions against the defendant, including striking all of the defendant’s affirmative pleadings and awarding attorney's fees, after proving the defendant fabricated evidence.
