Aimee Delaney Discusses 7th Circuit Vote on Sex-Orientation Bias

November 29, 2016

Aimee E. Delaney, a Chicago-based partner and member of the Labor & Employment group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, was quoted in the article, "Full 7th Circ. Could Rewrite Book On Sex-Orientation Bias," published in Law360 on November 28, 2016.

The article discusses how the full Seventh Circuit will consider whether Title VII protects workers from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, months after the panel ruled that the Civil Rights Act offers no such protection. "The Seventh Circuit is not a jurisdiction that typically legislates from the bench. Clearly its decision to vacate the original ruling and set the matter for rehearing is significant," said Ms. Delaney.
