Melinda Oliver focuses her practice on civil litigation, including governmental entities and healthcare services defense. Melinda also assists in general governance matters, such as licensure and permitting procedures and acquisition.
Before joining Hinshaw, Melinda was a summer associate with the firm and co-authored a chapter for the American Health Lawyers Association’s Enterprise Risk Management Handbook for Health Care Entities, Fourth Edition. During law school, she served as president of DePaul University College of Law’s Black Law Student Association.

Melinda is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor. Before law school, she helped found The Collective St. Louis, a non-profit, donation-based yoga studio in St. Louis, Missouri.

Melinda is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women.
