Gar N. Lauerman

Gar Lauerman represents insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage matters related to commercial general liability, excess and umbrella liability, employer’s liability, and first-party property liability.

Before joining Hinshaw, Gar practiced law at a Chicago-based firm litigating on behalf of franchise brands.

During law school, Gar externed for the Honorable Justice Terrence J. Lavin of the First District Illinois Appellate Court.

Away from the office, Gar enjoys trying new restaurants in and around his Bucktown neighborhood. He’s an avid cyclist and tries to spend as much of his free time out on his bike during Chicago’s short summers.
