Hinshaw's Tracy Elmblad Selected 2021 CIO+ of the Year by SIM Chicago
The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Chief Information and Operations Officer Tracy Elmblad has been selected the 2021 CIO+ of the Year by the Society of Information Management (SIM) Chicago Chapter. Scott Morgan of Dearborn Group was named CIO of the Year, while Bill Blount of VelocityEHS received the CIO Innovators Award. The awards were presented at a virtual award ceremony on October 14, 2021.
The CIO+ Award celebrates a CIO who has successfully expanded his or her current role into other business areas like Operations, Marketing, and Sales, thus, broadening their impact on driving success for the overall business entity.
Since 1995, the Society of Information Management Chicago Chapter together with The Executives’ Club of Chicago and The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) has recognized technology leaders in Chicago with a CIO of the Year Award. Each year, 50 or more top CIOs are nominated by their CIO peers and company CEOs. Six finalists were selected for the 2021 CIO awards.
Elmblad has nearly thirty years of experience working as a technologist and innovator in the law firm space. Prior to joining Hinshaw, she was Chief Information Officer at Bingham McCutchen. She is also the former Co-Founder and Managing Director of Aztech Consulting Group, LLC. Elmblad received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.
