August 3, 2018

Hinshaw's San Francisco-based partner Forrest Booth—who focuses his practice on insurance and reinsurance matters, particularly those relating to admiralty and maritime law—joined the Greg and Dan Show for a segment titled "Who Owns the Gold." In light of the discovery of the Russian warship the "Donskoi," Booth was invited to the show to give clarity to the rules of claiming sunken treasures and salvages.

In addition to explaining the two laws typically used to determine who owns the gold, the Law of Salvage and the Law of Finds, Booth discusses this intricacies associated with warships, because many countries recognize them as war graves that are not to be disturbed.
