Hinshaw's Jason Santos Wins Best Team Pitch at Chicago Committee’s 5th Annual Rate My Pitch Program

November 1, 2017

The Chicago office of Hinshaw was very pleased to host The Chicago Committee’s 5th Annual Rate My Pitch Program in early October. The 2017 Rate My Pitch Program was attended by 16 diverse mid- to senior associates from large law firms in the Chicago area, each of whom had to be nominated by his or her managing partner in order to participate.

The Rate My Pitch Program provides instruction and learning for skillsets and behaviors required for building successful business relationships. Associate participants are assigned to teams to practice scenarios that mimic real life encounters, from taking a partner/practice group leader to lunch through making a formal pitch to a real panel of in-house counsel in response to a mock RFP for legal services. Associates are evaluated based on their professional presence, substantive competence, empathy and effective communication.

This year, participants were split into four teams with varying backgrounds and experience levels and were coached by in-house counsel from four participating companies: Allstate, Anixter, GE, and Motorola Solutions. Hinshaw associate Jason Santos was part of the winning team for the Best Team Pitch award. Congratulations, Jason!
