Wendy Chang, a Los Angeles-based partner in the Lawyers for the Profession® group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, will present, as part of a panel, at the webinar "Key Ethical Issues When Ending the Attorney-Client Relationship" hosted by Bloomberg BNA on April 12, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PST.

The end of the attorney-client relationship is one that can be fraught with tension. It is a critical time in which attorneys may be faced with situations that can unknowingly raise risks and exposure to themselves and their law firms, depending on how they handle the circumstances. Properly handling the termination of an attorney-client relationship is one of the best things an attorney can do to manage risks in her practice. This panel will explore the risks to lawyers when the attorney-client relationship ends, and what the lawyer and law firm can do to protect themselves against those risks, in both litigation and transactional settings.
