The program includes a half-hour of networking session over breakfast beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Rockford's Northern Illinois University Conference Center, before the educational hour of each session that runs from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

The sixth in our eight-part series will focus on real estate leases that might apply to various business activities.

Speaker: Carol Lockwood

Even in the new economy, most businesses still need office space. This session on October 25, 2016, will provide an overview of real estate leases that might apply to various business activities, and the provisions that are important in order to reach agreement on fair and reasonable terms of a lease. A basic introduction to the various types of leases, and the variable factors that make each lease unique will also be provided.

As an added bonus, attendees will receive a primer on provisions that are often overlooked as merely being "boilerplate" but that are well worth understanding during the negotiation process.
