Shantel Perez is a trial lawyer who defends clients in personal injury and property damage claims. She has secured multiple jury trial defense verdicts in Cook, Will, and Kane counties and also resolved cases through alternative dispute resolution. Shantel has extensive experience in all stages of litigation and is licensed to practice in Illinois and New York.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Shantel practiced insurance defense representing government entities in civil rights cases, prosecuted municipal violations, and served as a hearing officer for various municipalities.
Before entering private practice, Shantel was a prosecutor for the City of Chicago’s Legal Information, Investigations and Prosecutions Division. During her tenure, she prosecuted traffic court violations, city misdemeanors, and administrative hearing matters, conducting hundreds of bench trials on behalf of the City.
