Rachel Nudel concentrates her practice on the defense of individuals and corporations in general liability and commercial litigation matters across various industries, including construction and transportation, in both state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution. She also focuses part of her practice on the defense of employers in connection with workplace disputes.
A zealous litigator, Rachel has skillfully defended a wide range of clients. From favorable settlements and verdicts to success on dispositive motion practice, she is intent on achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. An "out of the box" thinker, she navigates even the most challenging cases to resolution in line with her clients’ goals.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Rachel cultivated an extensive and sophisticated portfolio at both regional and national law firms. She has handled a variety of construction litigation, including the defense of owners and contractors in New York Labor Law matters. Earlier in her career, Rachel defended hospitals, physicians, and other health care professionals in medical malpractice cases. She has also defended attorneys and other professionals in professional liability matters.
While earning her law degree, Rachel completed externships with a New York State Supreme Court Justice and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.

Outside of the office, Rachel enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.
She is regularly involved as a volunteer at various activities at her children’s school and previously served as a Girl Scout Troop leader.
