Latesha Baker is a certified paralegal with more than 16 years of experience assisting attorneys in a broad range of litigation matters. In addition, Ms. Baker holds the Certified Legal Assistant Specialist (CLAS) designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. (NALA).
Ms. Baker has assisted with cases involving admiralty and maritime law, products liability, general liability, medical malpractice, automobile negligence, real estate and commercial litigation.
Ms. Baker assists attorneys in all phases of trial preparation, including reviewing, organizing and summarizing documents. She also manages discovery and prepares discovery requests and responses, as well as other pleadings and motions for filing with the courts.
Ms. Baker obtains and monitors record requests and prepares chronologies and timelines of events. She has extensive experience assisting with case investigations and conducting research. In addition, Ms. Baker monitors a substantial number of litigation files in hard copy and electronic formats.

Ms. Baker joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in October 2008. Previously she was for six years a certified paralegal at Mase & Lara, P.A. From 1996 to 2002, she was a certified paralegal with Deutsch & Blumberg, P.A.; and from 1994 to 1996, a paralegal with Grover, Weinstein, Stauber & Friedman, P.A. Ms. Baker began her paralegal career in 1992 at Mitchell, McAlpin & Associates, P.A.
Ms. Baker is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc., and was certified as a paralegal by the Association in 2002. In 2005 she received additional certification as a Paralegal Specialist – Civil Litigation. Her professional memberships also include the South Florida Paralegal Association and The Florida Bar.
Ms. Baker has been a Florida Registered Paralegal since July 2008. She also holds a Mortgage Broker License (since 2003) and a Real Estate Sales Associate License (since February 2004). Ms. Baker is also a notary public.
