Craig Liljestrand Authors Article on the New York Court Decision Tying Liability to Manufactures in Third-Party Use

Craig T. Liljestrand, a Chicago-based partner in the Product Liability practice at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, authored the article, "Combined decision ties liability·to manufacturer in third-party use," published by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin on July 25, 2016. The article examines how the New York Court of Appeals held in a combined decision, In re New York City Asbestos Litigation (Dummitt/Buttner), 2016 WL 3495191 (July 2016), that the manufacturer of a product has a duty to warn of the danger arising from the known and reasonably foreseeable use of its product in combination with a third-party product.
