Hinshaw Attorneys to Speak at ABA’s 2022 Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar

March 2 – 5, 2022
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson, AZ

Hinshaw is proud to sponsor the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 2022 Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar. Hinshaw's attorneys will participate in two separate panel discussions. On March 3, 2022, Ron Kammer will present as part of a panel titled “When Disaster Strikes: Coverage Implications of the Florida Condo Collapse.” Kammer's panel will focus on the coverage implications arising from building collapses like the one that took place last year in Florida, and discuss coverage issues under the property and liability policies of the association, owners, and the construction professionals involved, including complex causation, ensuing loss, and other provisions that commonly arise in such cases.

Following, on March 4, Spencer Kook will join a breakout session titled "Regulatory Roulette: Leveraging and Navigating State Insurance Departments." In this session, panelists will explore how different states approach insurance regulation (electing versus appointing their leaders), how carriers interact with these governing bodies (or don’t), how the licensing process and product development are handled, and how insurance consumers can use these administrative agencies to their advantage.
