Hinshaw partners Brian McGrath, Lauren Campisi, and Leslie Meredith will speak at the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA’s) 2026 Compliance and Risk Management Conference at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC, from September 27–29, 2026.
Litigation Forum Track | Key State Cases, FCRA, SCRA, TCPA, and FDCPA
Brian will be speaking on Sunday, September 27, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm during the “Litigation Forum Track” session, which will cover highlights of recent key state cases.
Developments related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) will also be discussed.
Applied Compliance Track | Contact with Care Addition – Navigating Borrower Communications and Consumer Protection Laws
Lauren will present from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 29, during the “Applied Compliance Track” session.
The session will work through real-world fact patterns involving borrower outreach, credit reporting, debt collection, and communications across multiple channels to illustrate how the Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other consumer protection laws apply in practice.
Closing Super Session | Regulatory Compliance
Leslie will participate in the “Closing Super Session” on Tuesday, September 29, from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm. In addition to answering questions about conference topics, the session will address legislation, litigation, and regulatory requirements.
