On May 4, Stephen Masley will present a session highlighting recent cases and litigation developments relating to bankruptcy and data breaches.

“Key State Cases, FCRA and SCRA”

On May 4, Brian McGrath will lead his first of two panel discussions, examining recent significant state cases and developments related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA).

“Opening General Session: The Midterms–Trends and Predictions”

On May 5, Brian McGrath will deliver his second panel, after he introduces MBA President and CEO Bob Broeksmit, who will provide an update on the association’s advocacy efforts in the Opening General Session. Brian’s panel will highlight the key policy and regulatory issues facing the industry and explore how shifting political dynamics influence federal housing policy, regulatory priorities, and enforcement trends shaping the mortgage market.

“Trends in Consumer Contact and Collection: FDCPA/FCRA/TCPA”

On May 6, Lauren Campisi will present a session on recent litigation trends affecting borrower engagement under the FCRA, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Attendees will gain insights into court interpretations, enforcement actions, and compliance challenges facing servicers in today’s regulatory environment, as well as strategies for proactive risk management and compliant communication.

Closing Super Session

On May 7, the conference will conclude with Leslie Meredith co-presenting a facilitated discussion featuring top legal and compliance professionals. Participants are encouraged to bring questions about any topics covered throughout the conference, including legislation, litigation, and regulatory requirements.
