About Ambrose
Ambrose brings over three decades of experience to his employment, commercial, and professional liability litigation practice. He represents insurers, professionals, businesses, law firms, and governmental entities throughout Illinois, developing effective strategies for court, trial, or alternative dispute resolution.
In the employment arena, Ambrose defends employers in matters involving civil rights, cybersecurity under Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), discrimination, harassment, retaliation, restrictive covenants, wage and hour issues, workplace torts, and whistleblower claims.
Areas of Focus
Experience
- Obtained summary judgment for the defendant, a national bank, on federal law discrimination claims.
- Obtained summary judgment for the defendant, a large, national home improvement retailer, in a personal injury case.
- Won a motion to dismiss a counterclaim in a lien litigation matter in the Circuit Court of the Tenth Judicial Circuit in Peoria, Illinois.
- Obtained summary judgment for the defendants in a legal malpractice case.
- Obtained a ruling from the Louisiana Supreme Court that reversed a Louisiana court of appeal and held that the Pennsylvania laws governing insolvent insurers are reciprocal with the Louisiana laws governing insolvent insurers, thereby barring plaintiff's claims.
