Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that the Jacksonville Bar Association (JBA) has re-elected partner John Weedon to its Board of Governors for the 2026–2027 term. John has served on the Board of Governors since 2021 and previously served on the Young Lawyers Section Board of Governors from 2015 to 2019.
About the JBA Board of Governors
The JBA Board of Governors includes seven attorneys, with the current board officially elected at the JBA’s annual meeting on May 7, 2026. The JBA Board of Governors sets the association’s strategic direction, oversees its committees and initiatives, and helps advance its mission of supporting Jacksonville lawyers and serving the public.
About John
John is a litigator who defends clients across a wide range of claims, including personal injury, negligent security, automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, construction litigation, and product liability. He handles all phases of the litigation process from pre-suit to verdict, defending lawsuits in state and federal courts throughout the state and the nation for local and national clients. His experience also includes rideshare-related cases.
In addition to his litigation practice, John co-chairs Hinshaw's Pro Bono and Community Involvement Committee in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing community events and assisting in office pro bono initiatives. He is actively involved in the legal community, serving on the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association and as a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel.
