Hinshaw partner Maria Quintero has been appointed to serve as the president of the Claims Litigation Management (CLM) San Francisco Bay Chapter. Each CLM chapter helps further the association's mission by fostering the professional development of the claims and litigation management industries through programs and resources. Quintero has been an active part of CLM since joining in 2012, including membership in a number of CLM committees.

Maria S. Quintero, a San Francisco-based partner in the Insurance Services Group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP was appointed to serve as the National Chair for the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) Extra-Contractual Committee. Ms Quintero has been a member of CLM since 2012. 

Hinshaw partner Maria Quintero presented at the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada's 61st Annual Meeting on December 10, 2020. Titled, "The ADC Confessional - Coverage Disasters I Have Known," the program focused on Maria's experience with the good—and the bad—that can come from insurance coverage litigation.

Hinshaw's Maria Quintero served as a panelist for a presentation titled "Game Changing Trends Affecting Construction Litigation," at the DRI Construction Law Seminar on April 11, 2019. The program explored advances in technology, design and construction processes, along with emerging theories of liability and risk transfer.

Hinshaw's San Francisco-based partner Maria Quintero presented as part of a panel titled, "Coverage Nightmares" at the 2017 CLM & Business Insurance Construction Conference on October 10, 2017. The panel discussed how to handle claims and litigate cases in jurisdictions that prove challenging as relates to insurance coverage and also gave tips for dealing with each hurdle.

San Francisco-based partner Maria Quintero will serve as a panelist at the CLM Construction Conference, participating in the session titled "A Big-Picture Look at Going to Arbitration." The event will take place in Huntington Beach, California, on September 19, 2024. The discussion will cover arbitration strategies and insights from experienced attorneys.

San Francisco-based partner Maria Quintero will serve as a panelist at the 2019 CLM Construction Conference on September 26, 2019 in San Diego. In their session titled "Hawaii – Paradise Lost? A Road Map to Handling Hawaii CD and Construction Litigation," Quintero and her fellow panelists will examine the construction trends in Hawaii that are contributing to the uptick in defect litigation. Topics of discussion will include disputes involving high-rise condominium complexes in Honolulu and how courts in Hawaii handle complex construction cases.

Hinshaw Partner Maria Quintero will present as part of a panel titled "What You Don't Know About Coverage Might Hurt You," at the Associate of Defense Counsel's (ADC) Annual Construction Seminar on May 3, 2019 in Walnut Creek, California. Quintero, along with the other panelists, will discuss both the ethical and practical practice points relating to coverage.

In their program titled "Extra-Contractual Considerations in Adjusting COVID-19 Claims," Quintero and her fellow panelists will address the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the onslaught of COVID-19 claims across multiple lines of insurance. Topics of discussion include operational considerations, the prevention of institutional bad faith, and obligations to investigate and adjust each claims in relation to coverage issues and defense.
