Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations has appointed Mohamed Sweify to serve a two-year term, starting in 2026, as the Co-Chair of its Outreach & Events Task Force on the Global Steering Committee.
The Campaign for Greener Arbitrations’ Global Steering Committee is “a diverse group of individuals representing key stakeholders in the international arbitration community.”
About the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations
The Campaign for Greener Arbitrations is a group of arbitration practitioners dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of international arbitrations. Recognizing the need for a broader initiative to address the waste and unnecessary travel common in international arbitrations, international arbitrator Lucy Greenwood assembled representatives from key stakeholder groups to launch her “Green Pledge” in 2019.
These groups include arbitration institutions, law firms, hearing venues, third-party funders, conference organizers, legal technology providers, and corporate clients who have come together to promote awareness and share best practices for sustainable arbitration management.
