Sweify recently wrote an article that was published in the September 2025 issue of the New York State Bar Association’s New York Dispute Resolution Lawyer, examining the historical and modern application of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Islamic and Arab cultures.
Mohamed explains that ADR in both cultures began with tribal customs and religious teachings, using methods like Sulh (the process of settlement) and Tahkeem (arbitration) to resolve conflicts.
