Liljestrand, a Chicago-based partner and member in the Product Liability practice at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, authored the article," N.J. court sets evidence standards in talc/cancer case, tosses lawsuit," published by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin on October 26, 2016. The article examines a recent case from the New Jersey Superior Court, Carl, et al. v. Johnson & Johnson, etal., No. ATL-L-6546-14 (N.J. Sup. Ct.) (2016), where the court ruled that significant deficiencies in the plaintiffs’ two principal experts’ methodology and analysis render their opinions inadmissible; therefore, the defendants’ motions to bar testimony and for summary judgment were granted.
