Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Hillary Weigle has joined the firm as a partner in the Professional Responsibility, Professional Liability, and Risk Management practice group in the Chicago office. Formerly with Smith Amundsen, she has served as lead counsel in more than 20 jury trials, primarily involving construction, insurance, and general liability matters.

"Hillary is a highly regarded and skilled litigator with significant jury trial experience," said Marissa Delinks, co-leader of Hinshaw's Professional Responsibility, Professional Liability & Risk Management group. "With many of our clients facing increased litigation risks, particularly in the construction and insurance industries, she bolsters our capabilities in the courtroom and with arbitrations and mediations. We're thrilled that she has joined the firm."

Weigle has a successful track record of taking numerous civil litigation matters to trial or settlement. She represents companies on a wide range of litigation matters related to construction, personal injury, premises liability, and product liability. In addition, she advises clients on all facets of arbitrations and mediations.

She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Miami University-Oxford and her J.D. from Indiana University School of Law. Weigle is active in various professional organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association. She is currently vice chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and the social engagement vice chair of the Defense Research Institute Construction Law Committee.
