D.L. Morriss Presents on International Banking Litigation and AI Regulation

Hinshaw partner D.L. Morriss will present on two panels at the New York Bar Association International Section 2026 Global Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 21 – October 23, 2026.

The Rise of Wire Fraud and Global Banking Litigation Claims

In the first panel, D.L. will speak on “The Rise of Wire Fraud and Global Banking Litigation Claims,” on  Wednesday, October 21. He will be joined by Andrés O' Farrell, Partner at Marval O’Farrell Mairal (Argentina), and Felicitas Llauró, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co. (Argentina).

The panel will examine the growing wave of bank liability claims stemming from wire fraud schemes, including the New York Attorney General's proceedings in People of the State of New York v. Citibank, N.A., and comparable international banking litigation.

AI Governance and Regulation: Emerging Markets and Consumer Protection Considerations

In the second panel, D.L. will present on “AI Governance and Regulation: Emerging Markets and Consumer Protection Considerations,” on Friday, October 23. He will speak alongside Prof. Azish E. Filabi of Filabi Law & Advisory LLP (US), Antonio Marcos Fonte Guimarães, Deputy Head of Financial System Regulation Department, Central Bank of Brazil (Brazil), and Lyne Kagwi, International Corporate & Compliance Attorney (US).

Panelists will analyze:
