September 2, 2016

Michael A.S. Newman, a Los Angeles-based partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, spoke with the Daily Journal about the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's decision in American Hotel and Lodging Association et al. v. City of Los Angeles, Case No. 15-55909 (Aug. 23, 2016). Mr. Newman's analysis of the case — in which the Ninth Circuit affirmed a district court denial of preliminary injunctive relief to hotel industry groups challenging a recent minimum wage hike for certain hotel workers by the City of Los Angeles — was included in the publication's "Weekly Appellate Report Podcast," published August 29, 2016.
