Joanna Storey to Discuss Practical Tips for Lawyers to Mitigate Legal Risk When Videoconferencing
Webinar
Jan 12, 2021
Hinshaw's Joanna Storey will participate in a webinar titled "How to Ethically Mitigate Risk in Remote Meetings and Depositions," presented by West LegalEdcenter, on January 12, 2021. Storey will provide tips to help lawyers ensure that, when videoconferencing, they maintain their professional liability obligations under ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct: Competence (Rule 1.1), Communications (Rule 1.4), Confidentiality of Information (Rule 1.6) and Responsibilities Regarding Nonlawyer Assistance (Rule 5.3). With the rise of videoconferencing in recent years—which Storey recently addressed—and its mass adoption during the COVID-19 crisis, this timely program will be especially useful to attorneys.
