Veteran Insurance Partner Joins Hinshaw in Houston
Christopher "Kipper" Burke brings a mix of in-house, and private law experience

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP announced that Christopher "Kipper" Burke has joined the firm as a partner in the global Insurance Services Practice Group in the Houston office. Burke expands the firm's insurance capabilities to the Gulf Coast as part of Hinshaw's continued strategic growth in that region.
"Kipper has a broad scope of experience representing national clients in coverage and bad faith claims," said Scott Seaman, co-chair of Hinshaw's global Insurance Services Practice Group. "With both in-house and private law practice experience, he is a talented litigator and represents companies on a wide range of challenging litigation matters, as well as appeals. We're excited that he has joined the team and helping us expand our Gulf Coast capabilities."
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Burke was principal owner of The Burke Law Firm. With more than 20 years of experience, he provides advice and counsel to insurance companies on bad faith claims and complex litigation matters, and appeals in various jurisdictions.
Previously, he was vice president and in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company. Burke has also served as an expert witness in litigation matters and as an insurance consultant, providing advice and counsel regarding regulatory issues, claims, and claims systems.
Burke received his B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from Rice University and his J.D. from St. Mary's University.
