Colleen Jarrott Elected as Secretary of the Louisiana Bar Foundation's Executive Committee

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is proud to announce that partner Colleen Jarrott has been elected to serve as Secretary on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana Bar Foundation for the 2025–2026 term.

She was officially sworn in with fellow newly-elected Board members at the Annual Fellows Membership Meeting last Friday. Jarrott has also been an active member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation since 2009 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2017.

The Louisiana Bar Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the justice system by funding initiatives that enhance the legal profession and promote equal access to justice. As the largest state funder of civil legal aid, the foundation collaborates with over 70 organizations to address non-criminal civil legal challenges faced by families in need. Jarrott is a partner and co-leader of Hinshaw’s Energy and Environment industry groups. She advises energy companies across Louisiana on legislative and regulatory matters related to oil and gas matters and carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS). With a focus on traditional and renewable energy, she practices on the cutting edge of legal issues implicated by the energy transition and technological advancements in the industry.

In addition to her law practice, she serves on Hinshaw’s Succession Planning Committee and is involved in strategic planning initiatives shaping the firm’s expansion. Jarrott is actively involved in regulatory and legislative initiatives related to the Louisiana Geologic Sequestration of Carbon Dioxide Act, and she serves on the Carbon Capture Committee of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association.
