Colleen Jarrott Named a 2025 Leadership in Law Honoree by New Orleans CityBusiness

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is delighted to announce that partner Colleen Jarrott has been selected as a 2025 Leadership in Law Honoree by New Orleans CityBusiness. This annual list recognizes “area professionals in the field of law for their career and community accomplishments.” This is the second time Colleen has been recognized as a Leadership in Law honoree, the first coming in 2019.
All 54 Leadership in Law honorees will be recognized during an event at the New Orleans Museum of Art on October 6, 2025. Honorees will also be profiled in the October 17, 2025, issue of New Orleans CityBusiness.
Colleen is a partner and co-leader of Hinshaw’s Energy and Environment industry groups. She advises energy companies across Louisiana on legislative and regulatory issues related to oil and gas and carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS). Focusing on both traditional and renewable energy, she works at the forefront of legal challenges caused by the energy transition and technological advances in the industry. In January of this year, Colleen was appointed to serve as a Council Member of the Louisiana State Law Institute (LSLI). In April, she was elected to serve as Secretary on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
In addition to her legal practice, Colleen serves on Hinshaw’s Succession Planning Committee and participates in strategic planning initiatives that support the firm’s growth. She is also actively engaged in regulatory and legislative efforts surrounding the Louisiana Geologic Sequestration of Carbon Dioxide Act and is a member of the Carbon Capture Committee of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association.
