The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is proud to announce that Minneapolis partner Amy DuMond Kottke was named among Minnesota Lawyer’s 2025 Top Women in Law. Amy and her fellow 42 honorees will be recognized at an awards gala on October 16, 2025, at Quincy Hall in Minneapolis.
Since 2023, Minnesota Lawyer’s Top Women in Law award has annually recognized women attorneys whose contributions as “role models, mentors, and trailblazers” are shaping Minnesota’s legal landscape.
According to Minnesota Lawyer, this year’s honorees “represent a wide range of practice areas spanning public service, nonprofit advocacy, private practice, and in-house counsel, while making a profound impact on their organizations, clients, and communities. Each has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the next generation of women in law.”
Amy advises owners and lenders nationwide on real estate development, financing, acquisitions, sales, and commercial leasing. With a reputation as a “dirt” lawyer, Amy counsels landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers on all aspects of land use, development, and construction, including multifamily, senior housing, industrial, and retail projects.
Amy is also active in professional organizations such as the Hennepin County Bar Association and MNCREW. She has been honored by her peers in The Best Lawyers in America© for Commercial Finance and Real Estate Law, and she has been recognized as a Twin Cities Business “Notable Women in Law” honoree and “Real Estate Person of the Year” by Minnesota Real Estate Journal.
