The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Minneapolis partner Amy L. DuMond Kottke was among 16 women selected by Twin Cities Business for its "Notable Women in Law" list in 2025.
Each year, Twin Cities Business recognizes women attorneys for their professional and leadership accomplishments. According to Twin Cities Business, these women "can handle it all, from multimillion-dollar contracts to complicated disputes and challenging civil rights issues. They are often among the top women leaders in their organizations. And in addition to managing the demands of high-pressure legal work, they keep an eye on helping others up." DuMond Kottke was also previously named a Twin Cities Business "Notable Women in Law" honoree in 2022.
DuMond Kottke is a highly respected professional in the real estate and legal communities. She represents clients nationwide in areas such as real estate financing, development, acquisitions and sales, mergers, commercial leasing, and a wide range of construction matters. This includes advising companies on complex financing and loan products related to municipal entitlements, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Section 8, and HUD-insured loans.
Within the past year, DuMond Kottke has served as legal counsel in two significant office-to-multifamily conversions in the Twin Cities and was recognized as a finalist for the 2025 Real Estate Lawyer of the Year Award by the Minnesota Real Estate Journal. In the first conversion project, she represented Sherman Associates in developing Groove Lofts. In the second project, DuMond Kottke provided legal counsel in converting Landmark Towers, transforming 211,000 square feet of vacant office space into 187 market-rate apartments, which are scheduled to open in April 2025.
