"Accurate classification of a retainer fee is critical for ethical case handling," an article written by Hinshaw's Wendy Chang, was published on the California Bar Journal this week. Wendy Chang is a partner of the firm out of Los Angeles.
In the article, Ms. Chang breaks down all the technicalities which make up the "retainer fee" and discusses its implications on ethics in terms of lawyer-client relationships.
