Partner J. Richard Supple Jr. was recently quoted in the article "Attys Get New Defense Tools In NY Discipline Rule Change," published by Law360.
The article discusses the new court rules in New York designed to “harmonize” a tortuous state attorney discipline system establishing lawyers rights to learn the source and scope of complaints. Rick is quoted as saying, "[t]his is a modest step forward. . . Although we did not get every substantive change we asked for, the new rules do provide the backbone for a process for formally requesting information [in discovery] without having to simply hope the court or committee will allow your client to have the disclosure he seeks out of a sense of fairness."
