Hinshaw partners Bill Schiller and Ian Wagreich will co-present in an Illinois State Bar Association webinar titled "LIVE WEB - Immigrant and Non-Immigrant Visa Options: What You Need to Know When Representing Artists, Athletes, Entertainers, and Clients Working in STEM Fields," on November 15, 2024. One hour of MCLE credit is available.
The online program will provide strategies for representing clients in the arts, sciences, education, business, and athletics. Attendees will leave with an understanding of the following:
- O-1 non-immigrant visas for clients with extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, education, business, and athletics
- Q-1 non-immigrant visas for individuals participating in certain international cultural exchange programs
- Recent legal changes offer new opportunities for STEM clients
- Options for obtaining a permanent residence visa in the U.S. based on employment
- The U.S. immigration application process via the National Interest Waiver
