Amy DuMond Kottke and Russell Ponessa Named to Minnesota Monthly's Top Lawyers of 2023

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partners Amy DuMond Kottke and Russell Ponessa have been named 2023 Top Lawyers in Minnesota by Minnesota Monthly. DuMond Kottke was among 44 lawyers recognized statewide in the category of Real Estate Law, while Ponessa was among 40 lawyers recognized in the Personal Injury Law category. 

Minnesota Monthly publishes its list of top statewide lawyers annually. Honorees are selected through an independent research process, which includes an online peer-review survey sent to all lawyers in Minnesota. Thousands of votes were cast to determine the publication's list this year.

DuMond Kottke as a self-described "dirt attorney" advises her clients on a wide range of real estate development and commercial transactions, including financing, acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, and construction issues throughout the country. She was also recognized as a "Notable Women in Law" by Twin Cities Business in 2022.

Ponessa is a trial lawyer with a wide-ranging civil litigation practice.  He has substantial experience in product and professional liability, medical devices, toxic torts, construction, business, disputes, and consumer claims.  Ponessa is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) and is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota Civil Trial Certification Council.
