Keitha Duhaney represents national mortgage servicers in litigation involving consumer financial statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Truth in Lending Act (TILA). She advises clients on regulatory compliance and defends claims related to credit reporting, debt collection practices, and loan servicing.
Additionally, Keitha represents financial institutions in commercial litigation involving breach of contract claims, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), with a focus on disputes over account agreements, funds transfers, and other complex banking matters.
During law school, Keitha was active in a number of organizations, earned a full-tuition merit scholarship, and was recognized as a Ron Brown Scholar. She also served as vice president of the Corporate & Securities Law Society and alumni director of the Federal Bar Association student chapter. In 2023, she was appointed as the director of career and professional development for the National Black Law Student Association for the 2023 – 2024 term.
