Brent litigates complex cases spanning various industries in state and federal courts. He leads, a diverse litigation practice focused on gig-economy defense for app-based platforms, online marketplace retailers, direct-to-consumer design and manufacturing companies, and their insurers. He also counsels large financial institutions on New York mortgage litigation while managing a portfolio of complex mortgage cases.

Brent oversees a national defense portfolio for Hinshaw’s app-based rental service clients and insurers, advising on quick and efficient lawsuit resolution. He also acts as outside counsel to small and mid-sized direct-to-consumer manufacturers, assisting with general business disputes, copyright, and trademark matters.
