About Bradley
Leveraging decades of experience, Brad represents clients nationwide and internationally in arbitrations and trials across diverse matters. In personal injury claims, he handles automobile and e-scooter accidents, product liability, wrongful death, and premises liability. He defends rideshare drivers against sexual and physical assault claims and uninsured motorist cases. Brad also advises large insurance companies on a broad range of issues.
In product liability, Brad manages claims involving exercise equipment, toys, bicycles, and household products. He defends professional liability claims against lawyers, insurers, health care providers, insurance agents and brokers, and real estate agents. Beyond trial defense for fraud and negligence, Brad counsels lawyers responding to state bar complaints and assists insurance clients with bad faith and contribution claims.
Areas of Focus
Experience
- Retained as primary counsel responsible for the defense of more than 200 rideshare drivers involving claims arising out of auto accidents, sexual assaults, physical assaults, and wrongful death. In handling these cases, the Hinshaw team led hundreds of depositions of plaintiffs, treating doctors, experts, and other witnesses and is responsible for implementing litigation strategy involving law and motion, discovery, expert retention, and resolution strategy. To date, Hinshaw has attended nearly 100 mediations and coordinated with many of the rideshare company's lawyers regarding mediation strategy and issues.
- Handled a trial spanning 20 days in Stockton Superior Court involving damages to a plaintiff's blueberry crop.
- Defended a California State Bar action seeking disbarment of an attorney for mishandling settlement funds, including allegations of moral turpitude, dishonesty, or corruption. After trial, the judge rejected the bar’s attempts at disbarment and recommended a 90-day suspension.
- Successfully defended a large real estate brokerage in a complex fraud and negligence claim.
- Obtained summary judgment on the issue of causation and damages on behalf of a mid-size law firm in a contentious legal malpractice case arising out of underlying trust and estate issues.
