With more than half a century of legal and business experience, Neil focuses his practice on real estate and banking and excels as a dealmaker, facilitating business transactions ranging from $5 to $150 million.

Neil advises clients on real estate sales and acquisitions, real estate-secured and asset-based institutional loans, and large-scale commercial leases. His work also includes frequent engagement as an expert witness regarding real estate transactions, condominium law, secured lending practices, and performance of due diligence under real estate purchase and sale agreements.

Neil’s meticulous strategic planning, thoughtful advocacy, and engaging demeanor have established him as a firm, fair, and wise dealmaker facilitating client business matters ranging from $5 million to $150 million. As a leading attorney in the South Florida real estate market and beyond, Neil has conducted more than $5 billion in transactions and worked closely with a core group of clients, five of whom have exceeded $500 million and two exceeding $1 billion.

Experience

Represented Westside Capital Group, a Miami-based diversified real estate investment firm, in the $29.5 million purchase of a 337-unit, garden-style apartment community located in the Wellswood submarket of Tampa, Florida. The deal involved complex title, tax, and documentation issues, and required the removal of a series of existing land use restrictions.
Represented the borrower in a $74 million refinancing, merger, secured loan closing, and satisfaction of fee and leasehold mortgages.
