Hinshaw Welcomes Business-First Transactional Partner Peter J. Kaiser to Minneapolis Office
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Peter J. Kaiser has joined the firm as a partner in the Minneapolis office. He joined Hinshaw's Commercial Transactions Practice Group from the Minneapolis office of Moss & Barnett, where he was a shareholder.
"Peter brings a strong record of client service and innovative business development to our group," said Anthony J. Jacob, chair of Hinshaw's Commercial Transactions Practice. "As an experienced outside general counsel for private companies, investment funds, and family offices, he is known for simplifying the most complex legal issues so that his clients can concentrate on making key decisions to achieve their business goals."
Kaiser provides counsel on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and investments in both emerging growth companies and traditional and alternative funds. In addition, his background in securities law is valued by companies selling securities and raising capital to fuel their growth or exploring complex investment or joint venture opportunities.
"I am excited about joining Hinshaw, a firm that provides me with a broad national platform and features expanded resources for my current clients," said Kaiser. "I am particularly interested in building out my representation of family-owned businesses and helping to grow the firm's transactional practice."
Before joining Moss & Barnett in 2018, Kaiser was an associate in the Business Law practice of Quarles & Brady in both Milwaukee and Minneapolis and also served as an associate in the Corporate & Business group of Gray, Plant, Mooty, Mooty & Bennett in Minneapolis. He often speaks to professional audiences and provides CLE-focused training on securing early-stage business financing and venture capital.
Kaiser is a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
