The U.S.-law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Jorge D. Canamero has joined the firm as a partner in the firm's Miami (Coral Gables) office. Jorge joins Hinshaw’s Insurance & Reinsurance practice, which offers a national platform of legal services, varied practice areas and a strong regional presence throughout Florida.
"Hinshaw’s insurance team is pleased to welcome Jorge, and help him and his clients take full advantage of the synergies made possible by this move," said Pedro E. Prior to joining Hinshaw, Jorge assisted clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, loan modification and refinance work, drafting security instruments, and construction contracts. He also has experience in securities and financial services litigation, including representing investors and registered representatives before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Jorge previously served as general counsel to a midsize company, assisting company executives with various legal issues: labor and employment disputes, supplier and vendor agreements, product warranties, and real estate matters.
Jorge is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. cum laude) and Florida International University (B.A. cum laude).
