Hinshaw's Vincent Rizzo will present a webinar titled "LGBTQ+ Issues in the Workplace: Legal Obligations and Best Practices," on June 18, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. Central. Rizzo, who is an active member of the firm's LGBTQ Affinity Network, a member of Lambda Legal's Leadership Counsel, an executive board member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC), and co-president of the Cook County Bar Association's LGBTQ section, will provide practical guidance to employment lawyers on LGBTQ workplace issues.

Presented in partnership with LAGBAC, this program will address the impact of the anticipated U.S. Supreme Court decisions in Bostock v. Clayton County, Zarda v. Altitude Express and Harris Funeral Homes v. EEOC, which will interpret whether to include or exclude LGBTQ individuals from Title VII's protections. The presentation will also look briefly at each state's employment nondiscrimination laws, and provide insights on workplace compliance with current federal laws.
