New York-based attorney and chair of the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) International Dispute Resolution Committee and Egypt Chapter of NYSBA’s International Section, Mohamed F. Sweify, is set to deliver opening remarks for the first global event organized by NYSBA’s Egypt Chapter at a virtual panel titled "Crypto, ESG and Global Markets: U.S., Egypt and Brazil Regulatory Shifts & Trends," on April 30, 2025.
The panel will address:
- Legal treatment of digital assets with the new U.S. administration.
- Regulations in the digital assets industry in Brazil, Egypt, and the U.S.
- Role of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), analogous to the SEC in the U.S.
- Role of Brazil's Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) in capital markets.
- Special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC).
