Panel provides overview of Alternative Dispute Resolution for newly licensed lawyers
Webinar
Dec 3, 2025
Mariam Chubinidze will co-moderate a New York City Bar webinar titled "Alternative Dispute Resolution: What Lawyers Must Know," on December 3, 2025.
New lawyers preparing to guide clients through conflict must understand more than traditional courtroom advocacy. Many disputes are resolved through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, yet these skills often receive limited attention in law school.
To help fill this gap, the bar’s program will feature practitioners from across the ADR spectrum who will outline the essential principles and procedures of their practice areas. Speakers will also address career pathways in dispute resolution, including opportunities for mediators, ombudspersons, and professionals working within government agencies. The discussion will conclude with insights on how the pandemic has reshaped both litigation and dispute resolution practice.
